You might take a look at this one Holly.
The Body Scultping Bible for Women By James Villepigue Hugo Rivera I found mine at Barnes and Noble a few years ago and still us it. They have pictures of every excercise and instructions on do's and don'ts A really great book designed for women.

I'd stay away from the books found at borders and the like. Many of them are gimmicky in nature, although to the lay person, they wouldn't know the difference.
I'd recommend picking up a copy of Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe. It will teach you perfect form on the core, fundamental exercises that should be part of anyone's routine. |

i've just found this book about bodybuilding Muscle Mechanics: Correct Technique for 73 Resistance Training Exercises - Everett Aaberg.
This is a great book for beginners and people wishing to learn more about good form and the structure of the body. It provides detailed descriptions of the joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles as well as full skeletal and skeletal muscle diagrams.

For me books never did work....i hired a personnal trainer for 3 months to teach me exactly what to do with dumbells and barbells ect...i call that working out with the big boys LOL anyway I learned alot and i also did this with a buddy and we split the cost so that was nice....
