Question Cinnamon?

Is anyone taking this?

I've just been reading about how Cinnamon capsules can help naturally control blood sugar levels. I'm going to do more research, but, I'm wondering if this actually works and if anyone here has any comments or experience to share.

My blood sugar usually runs pretty normal; but the last lab they did on me, even after fasting, they thought my blood sugar level was "high" (136 ... I am caretaker for an aunt, who's blood sugars are all over the board, sometimes as high as 600...so 136 to me isn't high.) At any rate, with the plan I'm on with them, it also involves alot of vitamins. They added Cinammon this past week because of the "high" blood sugar level. So.... will let you know. I do know this.... its one of the less nastier ones that I take. I love the smell

Yes, I'd be curious to know if it helps you. You're right, 136 isn't high at all, but if it's high compared to your normal level, I hope cinnamon is all it takes to level you out again.

I personally don't monitor my blood sugars at all as that's not an area of concern for me, but I do know that cinnamon extract is supposed to be excellent for helping to regular blood sugars. I know of many people that have had success with it. Nothing works for everyone all the time, so there's no guarantee, but it's definitely worth trying. It's cheap and easy to find too (I know my supplement site sells it...seacoastvitamins.com). I would think it would be ideal to add in a cinnamon supplement, and then begin to add it into your daily diet here and there as well, just to get some added benefits of consuming it more naturally. And cinnamon has a million other health benefits as well (antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, improves brain function, etc.). Good luck and let us know how it works.
