Angry Really need to lose atleast 50 pounds

I just weighed myself today. Over the last 8 years I have gained a total of 45 pounds. I even weigh more know then when I was pregant with my daughter 12 years ago. I am my highest weight ever in my life. I have never been this close to weighing in at 200 pounds. Well know I am. I really need to cut out the sodas. That is my biggest problem. Plus I really need to start excerising more. That is going to be my biggest problem since that I am going to be starting a 2nd job soon. But on a very small plus side that I will have to walk some short distance from my 2nd job to my car. I have just got to remember that I can't be eating at fast food places all the time. I am so mad at myslef for getting this much overwieght. I feel like when I get up out of bed or the chair that i am a beached whale. Well I need to stop whining about it and do something about this weight. I want to try to lose 50 pounds by next summer. I wish everyone else good luck with there weight loss as well.

Good for you for taking the first step and admitting that you need to do something about it. Now, take it one day at a time. You can do this. My best advice is not to look at the whole 50 pounds all at once. Concentrate on the first 5. After you lose those, look at the next 5. I know it works for me and that way I don't feel so overwhelmed at the 'big picture'. Kwim? I was a Dr. Pepper addict when I began so I can relate to you in that. I now only drink water and honestly think that's the best thing I do in my lifestyle change for my body. I lurve water, no longer ever even want anything else.

Enjoy this journey. It's exciting and empowering!

I agree w/ both of them about the 5lbs i think i always expect too much too fast but if i even see it move 1 lb that is enough to keep me going. And the water is a huge plus. I've not had soda in a week and even though i've been tempted i've done good. For me its that sodium that just kicks me in the hiney. I also find that if i have about 4 glasses of water sitting around the house then as i walk by one i take a drink it keeps me full longer.
